About UsSuds Girl Soap Co., is a pure labor of love! Once upon a time, in the midst of all this labor, I called my Mom. Sweet, unsuspecting sole that she is, she picked up the phone and said, "helloooooo" and her life hasn't been the same since! She calls herself my "Behind the Scenes Wizard" - I let her call herself anything she wants; free labor is really hard to come by! Thank heaven we've grown since then (but Mom and Dad are still free:). I hatched this ambitious plan after years as a Massage Therapist and Bodyworker. The increase in my practice of Autoimmune Diseases, Thyroid dysfunction, Allergies, Eczema and Psoriasis was alarming. It was becoming obvious to me that the exceedingly high level of toxins we are exposed to every day in the food we eat and the air we breath was putting a huge load on our immune systems. As if that weren't enough, the chemicals in our cosmetics and bath & body products that we slather on us every day, are absorbed quickly through our skin; the very products advertised to heal us and make us feel good – were potentially making us sick. While skin accounts for 65% of our bodies; it is a fact that what goes on us – goes in us; certainly a sobering thought. So, with that in mind, chemical free was the only way to go! I wanted products that were not only healthy, but smelled good, felt great and had an old fashioned and fun feel; because contrary to popular belief, healthy certainly doesn't have to be boring! We decided to head back to basics ...to create the feel of a simpler time. With life so complicated and stressful, we thought backwards was better ..so we headed to the pantry and Suds Girl Soap Co. was born. All of our products are lovingly handcrafted fresh and in small batches. Seeking out the highest quality, fair trade ingredients and using organic wherever possible is our priority. Chemical Free also means we don't use any artificial or synthetic fragrances ...if it smells like Lavender, it is! If it smells like Vanilla - thank our freshly ground vanilla beans! Please be assured that all of our raw ingredients are responsibly purchased and we support Fair Trade. Our products are cruelty free. We do not test on animals and none of our raw material suppliers test on animals. We strive to be eco-friendly at every turn and are always looking for new ways to improve. We package your order in bio-degradable peanuts made from Corn Starch which means they dissolve in water and are not filling up landfills.
